Leesta is operated by Dimitris Onisiforou, sole trader, trading as Leesta, of Andrea Syngrou 13, 4040 Limassol, Cyprus. Contact: hello@leesta.cy.
These terms apply between you and Leesta. They do not govern your relationship with the venue you book — that is a separate contract between you and them.
Leesta lets you reserve tables at participating restaurants and bars in Cyprus. We pass your reservation to the venue and keep you informed about it.
Leesta is a booking platform, not a restaurant. The meal, the service, the table you are given, the price of anything you order and the conduct of the venue's staff are matters between you and the venue.
Leesta is free for diners. We do not charge you a booking fee.
You need an account with your real name and a phone number you control, verified by SMS. You must be 16 or older.
You are responsible for bookings made from your account. Tell us at hello@leesta.cy if you think someone else has used it.
You can delete your account at any time in the app, or by writing to privacy@leesta.cy.
A booking is confirmed when the app shows it as confirmed. Until then nothing is reserved.
A venue may be unable to honour a confirmed booking — because of a closure, an incident, or an error on their side. Where that happens we will tell you as soon as we know, and any deposit or hold taken for that booking will be refunded or released in full.
Your right to cancel. A reservation is a service to be provided on a specific date, so the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to it (Art. 16(l), Directive 2011/83/EU). Your right to cancel is the venue's cancellation window, described above.
You can change or cancel a booking in the app up to the venue's cutoff. After the cutoff, contact the venue directly.
If you cancel within the free window, any deposit is refunded and any hold released. Outside it, the venue's stated rule applies.
We record whether each booking was attended, cancelled or missed, and we show a venue how many previous no-shows you have with them. This is explained, together with your right to object to it, in our Privacy Policy.
Don't make bookings you don't intend to honour, book under someone else's name, use the platform to harass a venue or its staff, or interfere with the service.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where we do, we will tell you why, and you can dispute it at hello@leesta.cy.
A venue may also decline to serve you. Venues can ban an account from booking with them, and that is their decision, not ours.
We provide Leesta with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise the app will always be available or entirely free of faults.
We are not responsible for what a venue does — including refusing, altering, or failing to honour a reservation, the quality of what they serve, or how they treat you.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer under Cyprus and EU law are unaffected by these terms.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Bookings you have already made are governed by the terms in force when you made them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
You may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
